Finding Voice Series
LWV Steuben sponsors issues forums to
spotlight issues that might not otherwise come to the attention
of local citizens. The
goal of the series is to offer people a way to have a say in a
safe and courteous environment. Each Finding Voice program includes
a feature presentation and an open mic session. During the open
mic session attendees are encouraged to speak up and say what is
on their minds about any issue. For more information about the
series or to join the planning committee, email Dianne Roe.
Membership Meetings
LWV Steuben has two member meetings each year,
one in January and one in June. In addition, the LWV Steuben quarterly
Board meetings are open to all members.

Students Inside Albany, May 19-22, 2019
2018 Students Inside Albany Attendees including

LWV Steuben is pleased to participate in LWVNY's
Students Inside Albany program. We join other local leagues in sending a high school student to the annual
program conference. The conference is an intensive four day training
experience held each spring. It immerses students in the process
by which state laws are proposed, enacted and amended in New
York State. Students are given an opportunity to observe Assembly
and Senate sessions and to shadow their Assembly members and
Senators.
